My Story

My name is Dan Piasecki from Wayne, NJ.

During the pandemic in 2020, I began making pizza with my family in our home oven. I continued to experiment and eventually wanted something bigger, so I bought a wood burning pizza oven. We started hosting pizza parties with family and friends. Word spread aboand everyone was asking how they can try my pizza, which has always been by invite only. A passion for making homemade pizza evolved into Backyard Pizza Dad, where I could share that anyone can make amazing pizza in their own backyard.

Now I’m bringing my pizza to your backyard with private pizza parties.

Our Specialties

My pizza is not your average local pizzeria, I make a homemade Neapolitan-ish 36 hour pizza dough, but stretch it thin and bake until crispy. All pizza is prepared fresh on site using the best local and imported ingredients.

Online Pizza Making Classes 

All classes use kitchen equipment you already have at home. All you need is a stand mixer, home oven and a baking sheet! If you have a pizza oven, that’s even better. Regardless of your skill level, you’ll have a good time and learn something new.
